Halton & District Model Flying Club is one of the friendliest clubs around, with a well established flying site near Daresbury. We have an immaculately kept grass runway, a fully fitted clubhouse and on-site toilet facilities. Our club welcomes flyers of all genres and skill levels, with ample parking and easy access for our disabled members. Join us for a relaxing day of model flying, with free hot drinks and a warm fire always available. Halton MFC is a very friendly and easy going club and you will be assured of a warm welcome when you visit. Use the "Contact Us box below.
We have a superbly appointed member’s cabin equipped with calor gas heating and a double gas hob for brewing drinks. Enough comfortable seating is available to accommodate members and promote discussions of all worldly matters (even including aero modelling sometimes!).
Tea and coffee are provided free of charge to members and we hold occasional “Bacon Butty Sundays” throughout the year with free bacon butties for anyone who is present on the day. At least one BBQ is held per year, usually in the summer.
We have a large, well kept grass runway and cater for all types of model aircraft including gas turbines, rotary wing and drones. We have a separate large grass circle for control line flying and an active group of members who fly this genre. There are barrier fences protecting the pits area and pilots box.
We have plenty of good quality car parking space with disabled parking priority spaces. Our flightline is accessible for disabled persons. We are open for flying 7 days a week. However, we do have to close the site for two weeks in late August to accommodate the needs of the Creamfield's music festival.
We have plenty of start up tables with built in model restraints.
We have an onsite flushing chemical toilet which is always kept clean and sanitary.
Please contact the Club Secretary via the chat button (bottom right of screen). Alternatively visit us at the flying field on any Sunday.
